It all started when mom called on my sister’s phone wanting to talk to me.

Mom: *calling out my name*

Me: I’m here

Mom: *calling out my name again* I can’t hear you

Me: *took the phone near me* Helloo?

Mom: Your school called me and they said the class for your training has been moved next week. They can’t make it on June 8 because of some problems. The good news is it will be on afternoon and not morning anymore. 

I didn’t like the news. I’ve already planned what I would do next two weeks, I would concentrate on my homeworks in UPOU but because of this DEPRESSING NEWS I have to change everything again even set my mind to do things earlier. Grrrrrr.

And then I wanted to eat pizza to forget about it but they (parents) had to go home quickly. They came from Sarawat Market with groceries and it’s my time to fix those too! My sister ate the cup noodles I wanted to eat later. I did this and that. Then bit my gums!!!! Howwwwww unlucky.

  1. Control - Control what you feel. Control your movements. Control everything. Don’t let depression get into your very core. 
  2. Change - Make little changes, one step at a time.
  3. Be Realistic - Don’t expect too much, cause you’ll end up hurting yourself. Always think about reality.
  4. Stop your bad habits or behavior - Try stopping them gradually. Don’t force yourself to stop it in a blink. Slowly but you’ll see it’s a lot better.
  5. Be Positive - Always think of the bright side. Every problem has a bright side, so look for it and it will make you feel a lot better.
  6. Fix your problems - Fix your PERSONAL problems, first. Don’t leave it there but don’t stress out yourself fixing it.
  7. Find new interests - Try out new things. Pull out yourself out of the hard life. Try enjoying your life a bit.
  8. Take a break - Take a leave for work. Rest. Relax. You’ll see, it’s easier to fix things up when you’re relaxed.
  9. Cry - Cry if you have to. It helps us release pain and stress.
  10. Write - Write about it! Blog about it! Express it, share your problems or story.
  11. Talk - Tell your depression with someone you trust. Tell them everything that you wanna tell them. Tell them your pain, suffering and many more.
  12. Eat - Some people overcome their depression with food. Eat your fave ice cream or food, for sure you’ll feel a lot better but don’t overdo it. Remember, Balanced Diet.
  13. Treat yourself - Try giving yourself a little treat. Take yourself to the spa, food buffet and many more.
  14. Smile and Laugh - Tests show that if you try smiling and laughing, eventually you’ll feel happy.
  15. Read - Read stories about people who battled with depression and won. Read inspiring stories. Read stories that will make you feel better.
  16. Ask for Help - Last but not the least. If you can’t take it anymore, ask for help. Don’t be shy to ask because you don’t know, maybe it’s the solution to stop your depression.
